Here&#8217;s an excerpt from a  recent missive:<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span><b>Does it bother you that you spend much of  your time pouring your thoughts, challenges, and triumphs into your blog and  have been doing so for years&#8230; yet nobody much seems to be caring or reading,  judging from the extremely few comments you receive on your entries<\/b>?  <\/span><\/div>\n<div><span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span>Well, you&#8217;re reading, for one. The  scattershot nature of my blog (not to mention the extremely variable quality]  ensures that I&#8217;ll never be one of the l33t bloggers. Which is fine. I&#8217;m not sure  I could handle the fame and the adulating fans and the coke-fueled parties and  the groupies and the m\u00e9nages a trois and the tax evasion charges and the failed  stints in rehab and the tabloid covers and the bankruptcy and the moving back in  with my parents. Well, the m\u00e9nages a trois might be fun, but toiling away in  obscurity is probably better for my long-term health. <\/span><\/div>\n<div><span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span>And it goes on (I swear, I&#8217;m not making this up):<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><b><span>How does it make you feel to think about the  &#8220;content&#8221; of so many other blogs that get so many more comments, simply because,  well, perhaps they don&#8217;t depress people? How about the&nbsp;idea that simply by  being you, you depress or sadden&nbsp;others on some primal  emotional&nbsp;level?<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<div><span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span>Oh, my analyst warned me about people like  you. Excuse me while I recite my healing mantra. [I&#8217;m coolawesomesexy and  everyone knows it&#8230;I&#8217;m coolawesomesexy and everyone knows it&#8230;I&#8217;m coolawesomesexy and everyone knows it &#8230;] Okay, you  know what, I&#8217;ll have to get back to you on this after I do an informal survey of  friends and colleagues. Others may very well find my presence depressing at a primal level.
