I came home the other day to what I thought was a fried router. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get a connection. The thing dates back to the early years of the Bush administration, so I shrugged and figured it was time to order a replacement. Of course, the old router is now working perfectly well. But I won’t be deterred from consigning it to the trash when the new one arrives. Old tech has a tendency to give a last gasp of functionality before total failure.
