I started out by writing a whole page (that regular writing schedule still eludes me), followed by an afternoon with some of the comics that have accumulated in my to-be-read pile (incidentally, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Incognito_%28comics%29#See_also\"><i>Incognito<\/i><\/a> is a raucous, grim take on the pulpy serials of yore), and then scanned the day&#8217;s news (Nick Carr&#8217;s NYT article on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2009\/07\/05\/weekinreview\/05franken.html?ref=todayspaper\">historical quirkiness of Minnesota politics<\/a> is worth checking out).
