Jonathan Lethem has a new book coming out called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/0385518633\/ref=nosim\/themillions-20\"><i>Chronic City<\/i><\/a>. I&#8217;ve been a fan of Lethem since devouring his coming-of-age epic <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Fortress-Solitude-Jonathan-Lethem\/dp\/0375724885\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1247431380&amp;sr=8-1\"><i>Fortress of Solitude<\/i><\/a> a few years ago. Even better, <i>Chronic City<\/i> is based on the terrific short story &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.newyorker.com\/fiction\/features\/2008\/11\/17\/081117fi_fiction_lethem\">Lostronaut<\/a>&#8220;, one of the few New Yorker fiction pieces I bothered to actually read.
