According to an informal poll done by the author, most people leave because of toxic group dynamics, incompatible reading preferences, or a general lack of motivation. Here&#8217;s my favorite quote from the article: <br \/><b><br \/>One man, for example, showed up to a meeting with a Popular Mechanics magazine and was dismayed to discover they didn&#8217;t consider it potential reading material.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/b>&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m fortunate that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.meetup.com\/everyonesacritic\/\">my book club<\/a> has experienced zero drama to date. I attribute that to the thoughtful and respectful people who seem to gravitate towards the group.
