Most major sporting events elicit little more than a shrug from me, but I still have fond memories of the excitement around our house when Germany won the Cup back in &#8217;90 (my mom and most of her family are native Germans). I don&#8217;t pretend to understand soccer&#8217;s finer points, but that won&#8217;t stop the games from looking awesome on my HD television.
