Notebook computers can pack a lot of power into a compact package, but I don&#8217;t really have a strong desire to use a computer anywhere else other than my desk. If I need to quickly check e-mail or look up something while I&#8217;m out, I can do so on my phone. And if something goes kaput on my desktop (something of a misnomer as it actually stands on the floor), I can easily ask a friend to help me swap out the offending part.
