They generally interfere with my willing suspension of disbelief and they typically don&#8217;t contribute to my appreciation of the movie. But I may have to pick up a copy of <i>Total Recall<\/i> after watching this <a href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/5861266\/arnold-schwarzenegger-gives-good-commentary-and-continues-to-make-dvds-relevant\">highlight reel of Arnold Schwarzenegger&#8217;s commentary<\/a>. It&#8217;s a commentary track as performance art. It&#8217;s almost post-modern in its use of super-obvious narration. It&#8217;s as if Arnie is trying to make a point about the vapidity of Hollywood blockbusters by giving us the most vapid DVD commentary ever.
