Plenty of eloquent words<\/a> have already been written on the Court\u2019s pair of historic rulings<\/a> today on same-sex marriage, so I won\u2019t bother repeating them. Of course, I\u2019m thrilled that so many couples will now receive full legal recognition and protection. Marriage equality will exist in a patchwork fashion for the next several years, but these decisions set us on a path towards a more just society. As William Gibson said, the future is already here\u2014it\u2019s just not evenly distributed.<\/p>\n
