The Strib<\/em> looks at the recent attention given to Minneapolis<\/a> in media outlets like the Wall Street Journal<\/em><\/a> and Buzzfeed<\/a>. The Buzzfeed list is rather meh (although I\u2019ve experienced #7\u2014the awkward talk with your parents after passing by Sex World), but the WSJ<\/em> piece is a good travelogue for a weekend in the city. Minneapolis is experiencing a bit of urban renewal as the economy recovers, so the press comes at a good time. Like a lot of longtime residents, I often take the city for granted. So an outsider\u2019s perspective helps remind me that I\u2019m lucky to be here.<\/p>\n
