With <a href=\"http:\/\/slate.msn.com\/id\/2114192\/fr\/rss\/\">today&#8217;s ruling that a person cannot be executed for crimes committed as a minor<\/a>, we have taken <a href=\"http:\/\/archives.cnn.com\/2002\/LAW\/06\/20\/scotus.executions\/index.html\">another step<\/a> towards the ultimate realization that capital punishment simply isn&#8217;t working as a deterrent or as an act of justice.
