The right seems <a href=\"http:\/\/www.talkingpointsmemo.com\/archives\/week_2005_10_02.php#006687\">pissed<\/a> and I suppose that&#8217;s a good thing.  But Miers doesn&#8217;t have much of a paper trail for either side to examine.  This could make for a confirmation hearing heavy on style but lacking much substance.  I don&#8217;t think we&#8217;ll be lucky enough to get another Souter, but hopefully she won&#8217;t be as scary as some of the people who could have been nominated.<br \/>\nI leave you tonight with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theonion.com\/content\/node\/41196\">this photo<\/a> from the Onion.
