Kristine from United Cerebral Palsy e-mailed me with a news of a get-out-the-vote effort called DontBlockMyVote.org. The site promotes voter registration and it also urges people to write their congressional representatives todemand better access at the polls and increased funding for accessible voting technology. It’s good to see a big organization like UCP working to get people with disabilities involved in the political process. We still do a crappy job of mobilizing ourselves compared to other GOTV campaigns. I remember hearing that at one of the previous Democratic conventions, either 1996 or 2000, they had a room set up for delegates with disabilities where they could discuss disability issues with campaign staff. Nobody showed up, which probably didn’t motivate the staffers to do much more outreach. I think it’s important to remember that if we want candidates to address our issues, we have to show that we actually vote in significant numbers. Otherwise, all we’re doing is complaining.
A couple days ago I download Angel Demar’s single “Who Runs This” from iTunes. For lack of a better expression, it’s da bomb. I believe my booty was actually shaking, and that’s saying something for a man in my condition.

I saw the video for “celebrate”, and even though it was powerpoint, it was off the hook. it had a great meaning to it, from the cradle to the grave, great work.
I really liked USAFUX i listen to it over and over (like nelly’s song ha-ha-ha) but Soon later was really bad. it had too much rnb. i heard some of that side show though and it has a lot of good freestyle, unlike the other 2 so im gettin it and u should all too. why isnt celebrate on tv yet we gotta get that on its really good everything good is unknown and everything bad is known, nice guys finish last.
I’m already getting ready for my 4th mixtape, it will be called “Main Stream” because unlike my other mixtapes, it won’t be underground it will be mainstream. I haven’t even got anything ready, just an album name so I would expect it to be out in late March/Early April.

I like Soon Later, I relate to it, and USAFUX is pretty good, has a few really good tracks like Celebrate and Buck 80. I also really liked the 50 Cent 1. JUst got Side Show and this s*** is finally a real tape. It don’t got bogus fillout songs, it got real freestyle. As usual, the dumb*** beats and sounds in the beginning cept for “at the concert” was koo, then crazy a** freestyle form that little chinese rapper crazy dude jin, then ti and lil flip take some dope shots at each other, then hot mami beyonce remixes 50’s in da club, i like this tape its real, soon later was aight too and usafux was pretty good, so id recommendd them all.
Wen mainstream umin out i do like sideshow i got some good burnin s*** off that i wasnt a fan of soon later but usafux is pretty good so himme up

Damn! At it again! I just got a email back from RyKe in which I had asked him about MainStream and he told me he is already gearing up for his next mixtape, which he has not yet chosen a title for. He says THE MOVEMENT will be on it, along with K.V. He mentioned a first signle has not yet been chosen but big up to him, he is always working and putting out tapes.
I really liked Side Show, it is funny as hell when ti disses lil flip and then it took two tracks for lil flips response which aint even that strong. straight out is fire, dont really get the concept of the video though.

Wow! This just in! Before “Big O Bitties” even becomes a hit (you know it will) RyKe has announced that Bumba & Jhae will do many more comedy type sequals with a similar plot (definetly unlike the one time appearances on other RyKe mixtapes). On RyKe’s next mixtape will be a song called “Jolie Home Wrecker”, but no word on if this wil be the mixtapes first official single. Bumba & Jhae also commented on people who are offended by “Big O Bitties”, “the little X at the top of the page, see it, click it, it’s for you”. They also said to look for their album in Spring off Get It Records.
Here is a update on my mixtapes. First off, MainStream WILL be out on March 1st. Soon after that, my next mixtape and possibly last for a while, ‘Roman Numberal Five’, will come out. It might even come out in the same exact month, March! The first single off ‘Roman Numeral Five’ will be Bumba & Jhae’s “Homewrecker”, and a video will be released shortly after MainStream comes out. Some videos that will be out to support ‘Roman Numeral Five’ will include K.V. and MC Hammer. Yes, MC Hammer! In related news, if you thought ‘USAFUX’ was done months ago, you’re wrong. The video for Cam’rons “Halftime Show” is currently in the making.
Unfortunately, my official site maxpages/5buckcds had to be permanently closed due to legal probles. Apparently, I was warned that if it wasn’t closed immediately, criminal charges could take place. And that also sadly means no more compilations or custom mixes. Also due to unsettled problems, Roman Numeral Five will most likely be my last mixtape. I will try to settle this, and maybe get a deal again so come summer time there will be more, but it is highly unlikely. Yeah, thanks for the support. When I put out my first mixtape, it was a big experiment. It was my own style of promoting music, with putting some funny sounds and fly beats. All that really happened was I got a nasty email from musicontheweb telling me 5buckcds was illegal and that if it was immediately taken down charges could be faced. I didn’t want to mess with the law, so I closed it down. I then got a call saying my mixtapes were illegally distributing music along with piracy, which I totally disagree with. Without bragging, I would just like to say I helped out many artists find a good path with my tapes. As much as I would like to fight the government on this, I will let it go for now. I am currently trying to find a record label, probably small, family owned, to allow me to make and release tapes off them. So, if you can help me out with that, I would greatly appreciate it.

I just found this article on the internet, thought you “RyKe fans” might have an interest in it. “Thought just downloading off the internet was illegal? Wrong! That’s what a young man from New Jersey thought (due to his age his name cannot be mentioned) until he was caught selling his mixtapes, which became quite an internet hit. The young man would release a mixtape which illegally distributed music every month, and sell them on his website for 5 bucks (hence the name 5buckcds), he even made music videos and promoted the albums with online commercials and flyers. It wasn’t long until the boy was caught, and sent a warning notice. Now, he still has one tape allowed, but after that he will face criminal charges if any further tapes are released. Why should you care, because if any more CD’s are sold by anyone, criminal charges will occur immediately. This young man has also been recently promoting a sixth mixtape which if he releases, charges will be faced. So when ‘Encore’ is supposedly released in May, DO NOT purchase it, as in you could also face charges. The young man was quoted in saying he “just wants to release a final mixtape to go out of the game properly”, but this will not be allowed. However, his final mixtape is allowed to be released and purchased, which will be entitled ‘Roman Numeral Five’, and will be released in April. Meanwhile, his 4th mixtape, MainStream, was just released today.”

Although my mixtape career has ended, I have persued rapping! I just decided a few days ago, because recently I had been freestyling a lot and saving the songs and I also wrote some in addition to that. The album will be called ‘RyKe Revealed’ or ‘Banned From Mixing, But Not Rapping’. Email me and tell me which one you like better, or if you have a better suggestion.
