I’m busy reshuffling my Netflix queue. In an effort to bolster my cineaste credentials, I’ve decided to explore the French New Wave movement. I figure that my knowledge of Francois Truffaut should extend beyond his appearance in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Any recommendations?

Un homme et une femme de Claude Lelouch avec J.L. TRintignant et la charmante et merveilleuse Anouk Aimée…était magnifique, mais je ne suis pas sure si Lelouch appartient à la nouvelle vague.
Sorry, I was writing in French, but this won’t be any problem to you, since you visited Paris.
Hiroshima mon amour de Alain Resnais was beautiful too, and “A bout de souffle” de Jean-Luc Godard.
Enjoy your weekend, but watching these films might bring a little touch of melancholy.
